With the onset of monsoon, pictures of water burning are coming out in these states. Many people have also been reported dead due to the havoc of the weather. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert in many states for the next few days. NDRF teams have been deployed for relief and rescue operations. Mumbai, Thane, Konkan and other parts of Maharashtra have received rain. Rivers are in spate in Konkan and western Maharashtra. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain and thundershower at most places of the state in the next four days.
