Farmers Protest - What was the solution found in talks with the government? Talk lasted for 5 hours, farmers were adamant on their demands
Farmers Protest: After about 5 hours of meeting in Chandigarh, the talks between Union Ministers and farmer leaders ended. Of course, talks took place between farmer leaders and Union Ministers but no consensus has been reached on anything. However, there have been indications of taking the talks forward on many points and the talks being positive. There will be another meeting regarding this on Sunday. Farmers will not move forward on Shambhu border till Sunday's meeting. At the same time, Haryana Police and Paramilitary have also agreed on ceasefire.

On the meeting held with the farmers, Union Minister Arjun Munda said, “Positive discussion took place in a very good atmosphere and taking into consideration the issues to which the farmer organizations have drawn attention, a detailed discussion will be held on the next date, i.e. on Sunday evening.” We will continue the discussion again at 6 o’clock.” Let us tell you, Arjun Munda, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal and Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai were present in this meeting. Apart from this, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann also attended the meeting.

Punjab CM told which issues were raised in the meeting

Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann said that many issues were discussed at length in the meeting. The farmers of Punjab are very much affected in this matter. Therefore, being the head of the state, it was my duty to present his side in this meeting. There were positive discussions on all issues in the meeting. We also raised the issues related to the Punjab government in the meeting, especially the central government which has shut down the internet in our three districts. Children have examinations. In such a situation, they are facing difficulty in studying online. We asked in the meeting that farmers are sitting on the border, so what was the need to shut down the internet in our areas?

CM said, we have also lodged an objection to the firing of tear gas shells from drones on our farmers on the Punjab border. It has been said that our farmers should not be treated like foreigners. The next meeting will be held on Sunday. As the head of the state, I have organized a meeting between the farmers of Punjab and the central government and am taking the talks between the two forward. Today's (Thursday) conversation was very positive and it is expected that Sunday's conversation will also be positive.

Raised the issue of selling MSP, fake seeds and pesticides

He further said, “There was positive discussion on all other issues including compensation to the injured of Lakhimpur Kheri, cases registered against farmers and MSP. I raised the issue of sale of fake seeds and pesticides in Punjab. The medicines which were banned abroad many years ago are still being sold in Punjab. We catch the dealers but the drug makers stay away from the law. Hopefully we will be able to give you positive news on Sunday.”
