A lover strangled his girlfriend to death in Udaipur, Rajasthan. The accused lover was angry with her marriage being fixed. He was pressurizing the girlfriend to run away from the house, but she did not agree to it. Angered by this, the lover strangled her to death with a dupatta. The police has arrested the accused lover.
Udaipur SP Manoj Kumar said that the dead body of a girl was found on May 5 near Lalpuria pond of Semari police station. The case was of village Khadfla. Khemraj told the police, his aunt's son Hemraj saw Rekha's body buried under stones in a field near the pond. He called and informed me about this. After this he reached the spot with his grandfather and informed the police.
Investigating the matter, the police took the suspect Vinod into custody and interrogated him. At first, the vicious Vinod kept claiming that he was innocent, but on strict questioning, he broke down. He told the police that Rekha and him were having a love affair for many years. Recently she got engaged. The wedding was also scheduled to take place on 25 May.
He was angry about her getting married. On May 4, he called Rekha to the banks of Lalpuria pond to talk. The accused asked Rekha to run away from home and get married, but she refused to do so. Later, both of them got into an argument about this matter. After this, he strangled her with Rekha's tupatta and ran away after pressing the dead body with stones. The police have arrested the accused Vinod's son Shivram.
