Lok Sabha Election: Hinting that a member of the Gandhi family will contest from Uttar Pradesh's Rae Bareli Lok Sabha seat, State Congress President Ajay Rai said on Saturday, "This seat will remain with the Gandhi family." During an interaction with the media, Rai said, “The people of Rae Bareli have had a deep connection with the Gandhi family for generations. This seat belongs to the Gandhi family and will remain with the Gandhi family.”Will Priyanka Gandhi contest elections from Rae Bareli?Asked who from the Gandhi family would contest from there, Rai said, “It will definitely be decided by them (Gandhi family).” Former Congress president Sonia Gandhi, MP from Rae Bareli seat since 2004, on Thursday informed the people of her parliamentary constituency that she will not contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections due to health reasons. In her letter addressed to the people of Rae Bareli, 77-year-old leader Sonia Gandhi wrote, “After this decision, I will not get the opportunity to serve you directly, but my heart and soul will always be with you. I know that you will support me and my family in the future as before.”There is speculation that after Sonia Gandhi leaves Rae Bareli seat, her daughter Priyanka Gandhi Vadra may contest elections from Rae Bareli.'Rahul is not allowed to take camera to the temple'Meanwhile, while interacting with the media, Ajay Rai alleged that Rahul Gandhi was not allowed to carry a camera when he visited Kashi Vishwanath temple. He said, “When all BJP leaders come to visit Kashi Vishwanath temple, they are allowed to come with cameras. But Rahul Gandhi was not allowed to go to the temple with the camera and no photo has been released by the administration yet.” On the second day of Congress's 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra' reaching Uttar Pradesh, Rahul Gandhi visited Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi.
