Rohit Sharma last played a match in Duleep Trophy in the year 2016 for India Blue. Playing against India Red, he scored 30 runs in the first innings and a total of 75 runs in the second innings. Gautam Gambhir was the captain of India Blue at that time. Then his team registered a spectacular victory by 355 runs. In that match, Cheteshwar Pujara scored a double century and played an unbeaten innings of 256 runs.

Virat Kohli last played in the Duleep Trophy in the year 2010. Then he played a match for North Zone against West Zone. In this match, Kohli played an innings of 56 runs and was the top scorer for North Zone. The entire team of North Zone was reduced to just 294 runs. After this, West Zone scored a mountain-like score of 769 runs and finally the match was drawn.
