To maintain brotherhood in Jahangirpuri, the area where violence took place in the past, people of both the communities took out a tricolor yatra together. This tricolor yatra started from Kushal Chowk in Jahangirpuri and ended at Azad Chowk. The people involved in the yatra raised slogans of Bharat Mata ki Jai. People showered flowers on the tricolor yatra from the roofs of their homes.North West Delhi DCP Usha Rangnani said, "Two days ago in the meeting, approval was sought from both the communities for taking out the tricolor yatra. During the yatra, both the communities appealed to the people to maintain communal harmony, during which elaborate security arrangements were made.
police watchThis yatra was taken out from the designated places in the presence of heavy police force. The Tiranga Yatra started from Kushal Chowk in Jahangirpuri and passed through Jama Masjid in front of where the stone pelting took place and ended at Azad Chowk. About 50 people were informed to be involved in the yatra, but far more people participated.
