Youth imprisoned for 15 days for parole for producing children

A young man serving life imprisonment in Bihar has been ordered to be released from jail on parole for 15 days to pursue the dynasty. The wife of a youth jailed since 2012 had filed a petition for parole in Patna High Court. Vicky Anand, a resident of Uttar Narna in Nalanda district, is lodged in Biharsharif jail. 26-year-old Vicky Anand is serving life imprisonment after being proved and convicted of murder.

The court ordered Vicky Anand to be released on parole for 15 days on a plea filed on the advice of Jail Visitor Advocate Devendra Sharma, appointed by the District Legal Services Authority, Nalanda, for his legal rights, protecting the interests of the detained prisoners.

In 2019, Vicky's wife Ranjita Patel petitioned Patna High Court through advocate Ganesh Sharma to release her husband on parole for the birth of a child.

After hearing the plea of ​​Ranjita, the Patna High Court has ordered the release of her convicted husband on parole for 15 days. Law experts believe that this is the first such order in Bihar to be granted parole for the purpose of birth of a child.

Normally till now, the court has been ordering detainees to be released on parole for occasions like funeral or marriage of close relatives. It is noteworthy that never before has there been a case of granting parole for lineage increase.
