Maharashtra / 15 dead, 35 injured after bus collides with truck in Maharashtra

At least 15 people died and 35 were injured when a truck collided with a state transport bus coming from the opposite direction in Maharashtra's Dhule district. The accident took place on the Shahada-Dondaicha road at around 10:30 pm on Sunday, an official said. The injured were rushed to a state hospital in Dhule.

Dhule: 15 people reportedly died in a head-on collision between a container truck and a state transport bus. 

Initially, police said on Monday, that eleven people were killed and 23 injured with three in critical condition. These numbers have since risen, and now it is being reported that 35 people have been injured. 

The crash took place late on Sunday near Neemgul village, according to Dhule Control Room official A.L. Patil.

"The bus was headed to Aurangabad when the collision took place on the Shahada-Dondaiche Road. The drivers of both vehicles were killed," Patil told IANS.
