It is believed that on August 2, this poisonous snake had entered Malappuram in the car of Arpukara resident Sujeeth on August 2 when he had gone there. However, Sujeeth was told by some locals that he had seen a snake entering his car near a naka in Vazhikdavu. His car was parked there at that time. He said that he could not locate this uninvited guest.

He and his family got tensed after seeing the snake skin hanging from the car on Sunday. After this, the snake could not be found even after a thorough search of the vehicle again. Rather, the king cobra was seen in the courtyard of a house 500 km away from his house on Wednesday morning. The neighbors were also aware of the suspicious presence of a snake in Sujit's car, they soon informed him. At the same time, Sujit alerted the forest department.
