Fuss Over / 'Abha' account will open at the time of appointment in the hospital, all major medical colleges including AIIMS connected with one platform

Now the hassle of bringing documents to government hospitals for patients will end. At the time of taking the appointment, the patient's Aura (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) account will be opened, through which the record of all the documents related to the treatment will be kept safe.

In this, apart from appointment, complete details of doctor's prescription, test and report, payment for treatment and medicine bills and slips will be available. However, this account can be opened only if the patient proceeds with the process while making an online appointment.

Almost all the major hospitals and medical colleges of the country are interconnected. It also includes all the All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) across the country. Each account holder is being given a 14 digit unique number which will be present along with the photo on the Aura card.

Earlier the scheme was in the name of Health ID

Till some time ago, this scheme was known as Health ID, but now changing its name and giving it the name Abha. This plan does not provide any kind of health insurance facility.

According to information received from the National Health Authority (NHA), 409 hospitals in the country have been linked to the website ors.gov.in. To make an appointment at any of these hospitals, registration can be done by visiting this website. There is also an option to open an aura account on the website. Apart from this, account can also be opened by visiting the website https://healthid.ndhm.gov.in/.

Consultation can also be taken on video call

• All the departments and doctors of the hospitals have been networked. If a patient wants medical consultation over video call too, that too will be possible. Doctors have a tab / computer or laptop available for this.
• Soon private testing centers will also be added.
• Private hospitals are also being connected to the network. For this, hospitals included in the network of Ayushman Bharat scheme can be used.
