Manoj Kumar's son Kunal Goswami confirmed the death of his father and said, "Father was suffering from health problems for a long time. By the grace of God, he said goodbye to this world peacefully. His last rites will be performed tomorrow." Manoj Kumar was born on 24 July 1937 as Harikrishna Giri Goswami. On the strength of his acting and direction, he achieved a special place in Indian cinema, for which he was awarded the title of 'Bharat Kumar'.
