Now news is coming that Afghan Taliban officials on Sunday closed one of the main trade and border crossing points with Pakistan, accusing Islamabad of reneging on its commitments. According to 'The Dawn', the Afghan Taliban commissioner of Torkham said that the border point has been closed for travel and transit trade.

Taliban commissioner in Torkham, Maulvi Mohammad Siddiqui, tweeted, "Pakistan has not followed through on its commitments and therefore the entry gate has been closed on the instructions of (our) leadership." He advised the people of Afghanistan to Avoid cross-border travel in eastern Nangarhar province.

Afghan Taliban angry with Pakistan

However, the Taliban official did not specify which commitment Islamabad allegedly violated. Some unconfirmed media reports suggested that the Taliban were angered by an unannounced ban on the travel of Afghan patients seeking treatment in Pakistan.
