In the fifth match of the 14th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the Mumbai Indians (MI) batsmen gave a disappointing performance. In the match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Chennai, Mumbai Indians were all out for 152 in 20 overs. Mumbai scored just 38 runs in the final 5 overs and lost 7 wickets. Out of these 7 wickets, 5 KKR all-rounder Andre Russell jerked.

The KKR star all-rounder took 5 wickets for 15 runs in 2 overs at Chepauk, Chennai on Tuesday. With this, it is the best performance of any bowler against Mumbai Indians. Before Andre Russell, this record was recorded in the name of Harshal Patel of RCB.

He did this feat in this season. In the very first match of the tournament (9 April), Harshal Patel took 5 wickets for 27 runs. Rohit Sharma is at number three in this list. He took 4 wickets for 6 runs in 2 overs, playing with Deccan Chargers in 2009.

During the innings break, Andre Russell said, 'I'm working hard. In the last over, batsmen go for runs, but there is also a chance of falling wickets. I am focusing on fitness. Hardik Pandya and Pollard have been difficult to bowl. Glad I could stop them. It was good to dismiss Pollard. We know how dangerous a batsman he is.
