Bulldozer Fear / As the teams arrived to remove the occupation, people themselves started breaking the illegal occupation with a shovel-hammer.

Continuous action is being taken in the case of violence on the day of Ram Navami in Sabarkantha, Gujarat. Meanwhile, on Monday, notices were served to the people to remove the encroachment in the riot-affected Himatnagar area. This morning, as soon as the bulldozers started reaching there to remove the illegal occupation, people were shocked. Then what, on seeing, people themselves started trying to remove illegal occupation from outside their respective houses. During this, people were seen removing encroachments with hammer and shovel.

In fact, on April 10, on the day of Ram Navami, people from the other side pelted stones on the procession in Sabarkantha. The procession was in Himmatnagar area when the stone pelting took place. After the stone pelting, the ruckus increased and on sight there was arson. The miscreants also torched police vehicles, following which the police had to use tear gas shells to disperse the crowd.

Continuous action

Several policemen were also injured in this incident. Since then, the police action is going on continuously. To nab the accused, the police are engaged in marking them, while action is also being taken on the encroachment done by the rioters.
