Gyanvapi Masjid Survey | Slamming the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over the Gyanvapi Masjid controversy, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Wednesday said the ruling party at the Center wants to take the country back to the 1990s when riots took place. The AIMIM chief also took aim at the Varanasi court's order directing the sealing of the area of ​​the Gyanvapi mosque where the Hindu side had claimed to have found a 'Shivling' during the survey. Owaisi said the court order was "wrong".

Earlier on Monday, a Varanasi court directed the district administration to seal the survey site inside the premises where the survey team had allegedly found the 'Shivling'.

Hearing the Gyanvapi Masjid case on Tuesday, the Supreme Court ordered the district magistrate of Varanasi to ensure that the area where the Shivling was allegedly found is protected without obstructing the right of worship of the Muslim community.
