Joking about India captain Virat Kohli shuffling his batting position, author Bhaavna Arora tweeted, "Anushka is angry as Kohli is trying new positions with Australians but not with her." Reacting to it, a fan tweeted, "This isn't funny at all." Another wrote, "Just because she's an actress married to a cricketer doesn't give you a license to crack these jokes."

Ever since India lost the first ODI against Australia by a massive 10-wicket margin, Virat Kohli’s batting position became the trending topic to discuss. The Indian skipper batted at four to accommodate KL Rahul in the line-up and the move somewhat backfired. Kohli could only score 16 runs and his wicket also brought about India’s downfall with the bat.

And ahead of the second match of the series on Friday, social media was abuzz about where should the 31-year-old bat. However, one of the tweets from the popular author Bhaavna Arora caught Twitterati’s attention as she had taken a dig at Virat Kohli in a weird way.

She alleged that Kohli’s wife and also the Bollywood Diva Anushka Sharma is not happy with her husband for trying out various positions with the Australians and not with her. Rather, Bhaavna was talking here about s*x positions and in a way, tried to troll the Indian captain. “Anushka Sharma is angry as Virat Kohli is trying new positions with Australians but not with her #INDvAUS,” her tweet read.

Virat Kohli returns to number three; scores a sublime 78

Amidst all the debates about his batting position, Virat Kohli returned to his preferred batting position in the must-win game for India. And it goes without saying that he was once again at ease in the middle. He didn’t look fussed about anything and went about his business scoring 78 runs off just 76 balls. At one stage, he looked good to score yet another century but was dismissed by, now his nemesis, Adam Zampa.

Apart from him, Shikhar Dhawan (96) and KL Rahul (80) also batted superbly to propel the home team to a formidable 340/6 after 50 overs. With the ball, Australia were in the hunt for the chunk of their second innings with Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne batting well. However, once their partnership was broken, the Men in Blue dominated the proceedings.

Kuldeep Yadav dismissed Alex Carey and Smith in the 38th over to tilt the game completely in India’s favour as they sealed the game by 36 runs. Meanwhile, Bhaavna Arora was at the receiving end on Twitter for her derogatory tweet for Virat Kohli and Anushka as she faced the heat from the fans.
