This complaint has been filed before Hansi Superintendent of Police on behalf of lawyer and Dalit rights activist Rajat Kalsan. The complaint states that Munmun Dutta has released a video on Instagram, in which he has used the word Bhangi to humiliate the Scheduled Castes. The complainant has stated in his complaint to the SP that Munmun Dutta has used the term Bhangi with the intention of insulting the Scheduled Caste people to humiliate the entire Dalit society.

The complaint further states that the Instagram profile on which this video has been released has millions of members and by viewing this video, the sentiments of the people of the society have been hurt and felt insulted. Therefore, an FIR should be immediately filed against Munmun Dutta and he should be arrested.

Actually, the actress has used the word casteist for the Dalit community in one of her videos. After this comment from the actress, users were surrounded on social media and many people have objected to this video. However, soon after realizing his mistake, Munmun deleted the video from Instagram and clarified it.
