Delhi Election: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor Arvind Kejriwal held an important press conference today. While the Delhi elections are near, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has suffered a major setback. BJP's senior councilor Kusum Lata has joined the Aam Aadmi Party along with her husband Ramesh Pehalwan.

Kusum Lata joins AAP

After joining the party, Kusum Lata said, "It is my good fortune that I am joining the Aam Aadmi Party." Her husband Ramesh Pehalwan also gave his reaction on this occasion. He said, "I am returning home again. The changes that have taken place in Delhi under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal, whether it is education, health or other development work, are remarkable. That is why I have come back to AAP."

Welcome and praise of Kejriwal

Arvind Kejriwal welcomed Kusum Lata and Ramesh Pehalwan on this occasion. He said, "I am happy that Kusumlata and Naresh Pahelwan are becoming a part of AAP again. Kusumlata ji has been a councilor twice and has made a big contribution to wrestling and sports. Many eminent people of Delhi are joining Aam Aadmi Party, this shows the increasing popularity of the party."

Sharp attack on Amit Shah

In this press conference, Kejriwal also targeted Home Minister Amit Shah. He said, "Law and order in Delhi is deteriorating day by day. On an average, 17 children are disappearing every day. Drug trade is increasing. I had written a letter to Amit Shah and sought time to discuss these issues, but have not received any response yet."

Questions on Rohingya-Bangladeshis

Kejriwal also cornered the central government on the issue of Rohingya and Bangladeshis living illegally in the country. He said, "The Indian government should explain how they are infiltrating. If there is so much security on the border, then how are they entering the country? How are they reaching Delhi through Assam and Bengal? Is the Indian government admitting that it is failing to protect the country's borders?"

Delhi election strategy

This development is important for the Aam Aadmi Party. The joining of leaders like Kusum Lata and Ramesh Pehalwan in the party can change the electoral equation. Also, by cornering the central government on the issues of law and order and infiltration, AAP has given a clear glimpse of its election strategy.

Conclusion

This success of the Aam Aadmi Party in the election environment of Delhi can prove to be a big setback for the BJP. At the same time, Arvind Kejriwal is constantly attacking the central government and ensuring that along with development issues, he also makes other serious issues of the public a part of the election debate. Now it remains to be seen what effect this development has on Delhi politics.
