India in the final after 10 years

After a brilliant innings by captain Rohit Sharma, Kuldeep Yadav and Akshar Patel's strong bowling helped India beat England by 68 runs in the semi-finals and make it to the final of the T20 World Cup. India will now face South Africa in the title match on Saturday. The Indian team has thus entered the final of this tournament after a long gap of 10 years. India had earlier reached the final of the T20 World Cup in 2014. This is the third time that the Indian team will play the title match of the T20 World Cup. Earlier, the team had entered the final in 2007 and 2014 under the leadership of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. India won in 2007, while in 2014 it missed the title.

India scored 171 runs for seven wickets in 20 overs on the basis of Rohit Sharma's innings of 57 runs off 39 balls and Suryakumar Yadav's 47 runs. England, chasing the target, collapsed for 103 runs in 16.4 overs. For India, wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav took three wickets for 19 runs, while Akshar Patel took three wickets for 23 runs. Akshar was awarded the Player of the Match award for his performance. Harry Brook was the highest scorer for England by scoring 25 runs. India thus continued its winning campaign in the tournament. Now in the final, it will face a team that has reached the World Cup title match for the first time and is invincible like that.

India scored 171 runs

India has set a target of 172 runs in front of England in the semi-final match. Batting first after losing the toss, India scored 171 runs by losing seven wickets in 20 overs. Captain Rohit Sharma scored the highest 57 runs. At the same time, Suryakumar Yadav played an innings of 47 runs. Chris Jordan took the highest three wickets for England. However, Jordan missed a hat-trick in the 18th over of the Indian innings. He dismissed Hardik Pandya and Shivam Dubey on two consecutive balls. Jordan has already taken a hat-trick in this T20 World Cup.

Batting first, Team India had a bad start. Virat Kohli (9) and Rishabh Pant (4) could not do anything special. After this, Rohit along with Surya shared a 73-run partnership for the third wicket. Rohit scored the 32nd half-century of his T20 international career during this period. He completed his half-century by hitting a six off Sam Curran. However, he was out immediately after that. Adil Rashid clean bowled Rohit. Hitman played an innings of 57 runs in 39 balls with the help of six fours and two sixes. Surya was also out after scoring 47 runs in 36 balls with the help of four fours and two sixes. Hardik Pandya scored 23 runs in 13 balls with the help of one four and two sixes. Dubey fell prey to a golden duck. Akshar Patel scored 10 runs in six balls with the help of a six. Ravindra Jadeja remained unbeaten after scoring 17 runs in nine balls with the help of two fours. India will have to defend 171 runs to reach the final.
