India scored 171 runs for seven wickets in 20 overs on the basis of Rohit Sharma's innings of 57 runs off 39 balls and Suryakumar Yadav's 47 runs. England, chasing the target, collapsed for 103 runs in 16.4 overs. For India, wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav took three wickets for 19 runs, while Akshar Patel took three wickets for 23 runs. Akshar was awarded the Player of the Match award for his performance. Harry Brook was the highest scorer for England by scoring 25 runs. India thus continued its winning campaign in the tournament. Now in the final, it will face a team that has reached the World Cup title match for the first time and is invincible like that.

India has set a target of 172 runs in front of England in the semi-final match. Batting first after losing the toss, India scored 171 runs by losing seven wickets in 20 overs. Captain Rohit Sharma scored the highest 57 runs. At the same time, Suryakumar Yadav played an innings of 47 runs. Chris Jordan took the highest three wickets for England. However, Jordan missed a hat-trick in the 18th over of the Indian innings. He dismissed Hardik Pandya and Shivam Dubey on two consecutive balls.
