Education / CBSE board exam commencement date to be announced at 6 pm on December 31

Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' today said he will announce the date for the commencement of CBSE board examinations 2021 at 6 pm on December 31. Earlier this week, he had said the CBSE board examinations will not be held in January or February. He had further said that exams will be conducted offline as online exams won't be feasible.

New Delhi: Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank would announce the Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE Board Exam 2021 date sheet on December 31. The date sheet for class 10 and class 12 will be announced by the Minister at 6 pm. The datasheet is expected to be available to candidates on the official site of CBSE on cbse.nic.in.

Education Minister took his official Twitter account to announce the same. He wrote, “Major announcements for students & parents! I will announce the date when the exams will commence for students appearing for #CBSE board exams in 2021. Stay tuned.”

A few days back Education Minister had announced that CBSE Board Exam 2021 would not be conducted till February 2021. He more announced that the situation would be assessed and the dates for CBSE Board Exams would be announced.

In the webinar conducted by the Minister for teachers on December 22, he informed that the CBSE Board exams would be conducted after February in offline mode. He said, ““The practical exams are usually held between January 1 and 15 while the optional exams are conducted between February 15 and mid-March. However, taking into account the present situation, it is impossible to conduct the exams till the end of February. We will make a final decision on the exam dates as to when will the exams can be held after February.”

Every year CBSE conducts the Board examination in February and March and releases the exam date sheet for both Class 10 and Class 12 in November. However, this year due to the pandemic, the CBSE Board Exams 2021 has been postponed.
