LSG vs CSK: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have finally returned to the winning track in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. After five consecutive defeats, the team defeated Lucknow Supergiants (LSG) by 5 wickets on Monday to register their second win in the tournament. The match was played at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow, where Chennai won the toss and decided to bowl first.

Lucknow's innings: Pant's fifty, but low score

Batting first, Lucknow Supergiants scored 166 for 7 in the stipulated 20 overs. Captain Rishabh Pant once again demonstrated his class and played a half-century innings of 63 runs. Along with him, Marsh scored 30, Ayush Badoni scored 22 and Abdul Samad scored 20 runs. Ravindra Jadeja and Mathish Pathirana bowled brilliantly for Chennai and took two wickets each. Khaleel Ahmed and Anshul Kamboj got one wicket each.

Chennai's start was steady while chasing the target. Rachin Ravindra gave the team a solid start by scoring 37 and Sheikh Rashid scored 27 runs. In the middle order, Shivam Dubey once again proved that he is a big occasion player. He played an important innings of 43 runs. When the match was at a thrilling turn, captain MS Dhoni, in his old style, scored 26 runs in just 11 balls and led the team to victory. Chennai achieved the target in 19.3 overs at the loss of 5 wickets.

Lucknow's effort in bowling

Ravi Bishnoi performed best for Lucknow and took 2 wickets, but the rest of the bowlers could not leave the expected impact. Despite having 166 runs on the scoreboard, the team could not stand in front of Chennai's depth.
