1. Scheme to send money directly to the account of women

Congress has announced a special scheme keeping women at the center in this election. The party will implement a scheme to send money directly to the bank accounts of women of Delhi. This will improve the economic condition of women and make them more self-reliant.

2. Health Insurance Scheme

With the aim of improving health services for the people of Delhi, Congress will implement the Health Insurance Scheme. Under this scheme, every citizen will get the benefit of health insurance, which will reduce the burden of expensive treatment and provide relief to the poor and middle class.

3. Job guarantee to youth

To solve the problem of unemployment, Congress has promised to give job guarantee to the youth. The party has announced the Apprenticeship Scheme, which will provide job opportunities to the youth and give them a chance to enhance their skills.

4. Ration scheme for all

Congress is going to implement the ration scheme for all to get back its traditional vote bank. Under this scheme, ration will be provided to every citizen of Delhi without any discrimination. This scheme will prove to be very beneficial for the poor and lower class people.

5. Free electricity up to 400 units

Congress has promised to give free electricity up to 400 units to the people of Delhi. The party's state president Devendra Yadav had already announced this scheme. This guarantee will reduce the cost of electricity in Delhi's homes and will provide great relief to the general public.

Alka Lamba against Atishi on Kalkaji seat

Congress has declared its women's unit president Alka Lamba as its candidate against Chief Minister Atishi on the Kalkaji assembly seat in Delhi. Party organization general secretary KC Venugopal issued an official release in this regard.

Alka Lamba has a long experience in politics. She started her student politics with the National Student Organization of India (NSUI) in the 1990s. Later she joined the Aam Aadmi Party and became an MLA from Chandni Chowk in 2015. However, a few years ago she returned to the Congress. Now she is the Congress candidate from Kalkaji. Chief Minister Atishi is currently an MLA from the same seat and is contesting as an Aam Aadmi Party candidate.

Sandeep Dixit against Kejriwal from New Delhi seat

Congress has announced the names of 48 candidates so far. The party has fielded former MP Sandeep Dixit against Aam Aadmi Party chief and former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal from New Delhi seat. Sandeep Dixit is the son of former Chief Minister Sheila Dixit and is playing an active role in Delhi politics.

Other prominent candidates

Congress has given ticket to former Delhi Municipal Corporation Mayor Farhad Suri against former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Jangpura seat. The party believes that through these prominent candidates it can regain its lost support base in Delhi.
