Haryana Election: Usually, in case of no government formation after the elections, the demand for MLAs increases, but in Haryana, the demand for MLAs has increased even before the assembly elections. While BJP has recently formed an alliance with the party of HLP MLA Gopal Kanda from Sirsa. At the same time, now Congress is also ready to welcome 3 MLAs of Dushyant Chautala's party JJP. These MLAs have left the party after the announcement of elections.

It is being said that Congress may soon officially include these 3 MLAs in the party. Voting for 90 assembly seats is proposed in Haryana on October 1.

BJP made an agreement with Gopal Kanda

The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party has made an agreement with HLP MLA Gopal Kanda from Sirsa. Gopal Kanda has been a minister in Bhupinder Singh's government. In 2019, when BJP did not get absolute majority, Kanda had announced to support BJP.

Gopal Kanda is considered a strong leader in Sirsa politics. Sirsa Lok Sabha has 9 assembly seats, out of which BJP won only 2 seats in 2019. In the recent Lok Sabha elections, BJP could not gain lead in any seat here.

Is Congress ready to welcome 3 MLAs?

Janayak Janata Party won 10 seats in 2019. As soon as the elections were announced in Haryana, 4 out of 10 MLAs of the party have resigned. Among the MLAs who have resigned, Devendra Babli, Anoop Dhanak, Ramkaran Kala and Ishwar Singh have resigned.

It is being said that Anoop Dhanak may join BJP and Devendra Babli, Ramkaran Kala and Ishwar Singh may join Congress. The sons of Ishwar Singh and Ramkaran Kala have already joined Congress, while Devendra Babli openly supported Kumari Selja in the Lok Sabha elections.

In 2019, Ishwar Singh won from Guhla seat in Kaithal. Congress last won this seat in 2005. Last time its candidate lost by more than 5 thousand votes. Similarly, Devendra Singh Babli is an MLA from Tohana in Fatehabad.

Congress has not been able to fight on this seat for the last 10 years. In 2019, Babli defeated BJP's Subhash Barala from Tohana. Anoop Dhanak is an MLA from Uklana in Hisar. BJP has not been able to register a win here yet. Ram Karan Kala is an MLA from Shahabad in Kurukshetra. Congress was the third largest party here in the last election.

Why has the demand for MLAs increased?

Recently Lok Sabha elections have been held, in which Congress has won 5 out of 10 seats and BJP has won 5 seats. If seen assembly wise, Congress has got a lead in 42 and BJP in 44 seats. In Haryana, which has 90 seats, any party needs to win at least 46 seats to get a majority.

In the 2019 elections, BJP won 40 seats, after which it had to make a post-poll alliance. To avoid all these situations, the parties have started bringing strong MLAs to their side.
