Dinesh Karthik looked quite happy after making his captaincy debut against Derbyshire. He took to Twitter to express his happiness. Karthik tweeted and wrote, "Stayed with the team for a long time and got a chance to lead the Indian team for the first time. It was a warm up game though. It was a special moment and I feel honored. Many thanks to all for the always supporting and well wishes. Proud to be a part of this team.

Stormy innings from Deepak Hooda (59) and Suryakumar Yadav (36) helped India register a seven-wicket win against Derbyshire in Friday's warm-up match. Derbyshire had set a target of 151 runs in front of India, which India achieved in the 17th over under the leadership of Hooda, who was in excellent form. Hooda scored 59 runs in 37 balls with five fours and two sixes.

Apart from this, Sanju Samson scored 38 (30) and Suryakumar Yadav scored 36 (22) to open the innings. Ben Aitchison took two wickets for Derbyshire while Matty McKiernan took one.
