The division of ministries of the Mahayuti government in Maharashtra has been done. CM Devendra Fadnavis took over the Home, Energy and Law departments. Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde got the responsibility of Urban Development and Housing. Ajit Pawar was given Finance and Planning, Chandrashekhar Bawankule was given the Revenue Department. Many other leaders also got ministries.

Maharashtra Politics: After the formation of the Mahayuti government in Maharashtra, today the state's government ministries were distributed. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has retained the Home Department, Energy (excluding renewable energy), Law and Justice, General Administration Department, Information and Public Relations Department, along with additional charge of ministries that have no other minister assigned.

Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has been entrusted with the responsibility of Urban Development, Housing, and Public Works (Public Enterprises) departments, while NCP leader and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has received the Finance and Planning ministries, along with the State Excise Department.

Pankaja Munde has been assigned the Ministry of Environment & Climate Change and Animal Husbandry, while Nitesh Rane has been given charge of Fisheries and Ports.

BJP Emerges as the Largest Party, Also Leads the Government

In the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly elections, BJP emerged as the largest party with 132 seats. Along with its allies, the Mahayuti government was formed, with Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena winning 57 seats and Ajit Pawar's faction of the NCP securing 41 seats. With the most seats, BJP's Devendra Fadnavis became the Chief Minister and Eknath Shinde was made the Deputy Chief Minister.
