Bollywood / Fire breaks out on the set of Prabhas' 'Adipurush'; no injuries reported

A major fire broke out on the set of Prabhas-starrer 'Adipurush' at Retro Grounds in Mumbai's Goregaon area on Tuesday at around 4:10 pm. According to Mumbai Fire Brigade, it was a level 2 fire and eight fire engines, five jumbo tankers, one water tanker and a JCB were rushed to the spot. No injuries were reported.

Mumbai: Prabhas took to his social media today to announce that his much-awaited film ‘Adipurush’, co-starring Saif Ali Khan, has gone on the floors today. However, according to latest reports, a level 2 fire has broke out on the film's sets at around 4 pm. Reportedly, around 50-60 people were present when the incident took place at Film City in Goregaon. Fortunately, Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan were not a part of the shoot today.

Sources inform that eight fire engines, five jumbo tankers, one water tanker, and a JCB have been sent by the Mumbai Fire Brigade to control the fire. No casualties have been reported so far. Currently, the fire fighting operation is underway and the situation seems to be under control. The cause of the fire is speculated to be a short circuit on the set.

Talking about the film, ‘Adipurush’ has been helmed by filmmaker Om Raut. Prabhas has been modelled on Lord Ram while Saif will essay the role of the antagonist, Lankesh.
