Cricket | The senior selection committee headed by Chetan Sharma will select the 15-member Indian team for the T20 World Cup 2022 next week. The eighth edition of the tournament will begin in Australia from October 16 and all the teams have to announce their squads. Rohit Sharma will captain the Indian team for the first time in an ICC tournament. It will be interesting to see which players will be selected in the Indian team for the T20 World Cup. But even before that, many veterans are choosing their respective teams.

Meanwhile, RP Singh, who was a part of India's first T20 World winning team, has selected his 15-man squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup. In a conversation with India TV, Singh has also included Kuldeep Yadav and Mohammed Shami in his team. Shami has not played any T20 International match since November 2021. Kuldeep is also not a part of the T20I squad.

Former World Cup winning team member RP Singh has picked both Rishabh Pant and Dinesh Karthik in his T20 World Cup squad along with Arshdeep Singh and Deepak Chahar. Chahar joined the team for the Asia Cup late and has played only one match. R Ashwin, Deepak Hooda and Sanju Samson are included in the list of reserve players for the tournament. Ashwin was part of the T20I squad in last year's World Cup and is likely to remain in the squad.
