Supreme Court News: The Supreme Court has recently issued an important interim order, which has given rise to the possibility of major changes in Indian politics and administration. This order has dealt a blow to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on three fronts simultaneously. This decision has not only affected the current politics of the BJP, but has also challenged the strategies of those leaders who were engaged in strengthening their image through bulldozer action. Apart from this, this decision has also shocked the governments using bulldozers to hide administrative failure.Supreme Court order and its effectThe Supreme Court bench of Justice BR Gavai and Justice Vishwanathan has clarified that permission of the Supreme Court will have to be taken before running a bulldozer on any private property. Detailed guidelines will be issued on this on October 1, till then such actions will be stopped. This order has been issued on the basis of petitions which alleged that the government is demolishing people's houses without following the legal process, which is a violation of the right to life.3 Big setbacks to BJP1. Impact on Hindutva politicsBJP has used bulldozers against Muslims and marginalized communities in the last few years. According to various reports and human rights organizations, more than 1.5 lakh houses have been demolished by bulldozers, most of which belonged to the Muslim community. Amnesty International has expressed concern that the houses of Muslims are being demolished deliberately and the legal process is not being followed. This order of the Supreme Court has dealt a blow to BJP's Hindutva politics and has increased the possibility of the Muslim community becoming vocal at the local level in the future.2. Setback to Yogi Adityanath's brandUttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath used bulldozer action as a major tool to build his tough image. His image has been promoted as 'Bulldozer Baba'. With this Supreme Court order, Yogi will now have to find new ways to maintain his brand. This may affect his political credibility and he may have to change his strategy.3. Difficult to hide law and order failureIn BJP-ruled states, the use of bulldozers had become a common practice to calm the anger arising from law and order failure. After the derogatory act committed against a tribal in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh, and after failing to stop the riots in Jahangirpuri, Delhi, the administration ran bulldozers against illegal encroachments. The Supreme Court order has now blocked the way for such actions, and the government may have to adopt new ways to hide its law and order failure.ConclusionThis interim order of the Supreme Court can become a big challenge for the BJP. It is not only a legal issue, but it can also affect the strategic and political direction of the party. This verdict against bulldozer action may not only change political strategies but its effective implementation may also bring about a change in social and administrative matters. The BJP and its leaders will now have to rethink their approach and strategies so that they can adjust their plans according to this new judicial scenario.
