IND vs SA | South Africa beat India by 7 wickets in the Johannesburg Test to level the three-match Test series 1-1. The hosts achieved the target of 240 runs from India in 67.4 overs for the loss of three wickets on the fourth day. In this victory of South Africa, their captain Dean Elgar was the hero, who led the team from the front and played a match-winning innings. Elgar scored the highest 96 runs and was not out till the end. South Africa had never won against India in Johannesburg before and now after the historic victory, their captain has given a big statement about it. Elgar has credited his bowlers for this spectacular victory.The South African captain said after the match, 'The basics of the team's batting and bowling never change. In the first Test match, we could not find the momentum. There we had to face a lot of challenges in batting. We could not even find the rhythm in the batting. Indian bowlers were on top in that match. But now my respect for the bowlers of my team has increased a lot. Our bowlers showed great spirit.Elgar played an unbeaten match-winning innings of 96 runs off 188 balls with the help of 10 fours. He shared 47 for the first wicket with Aiden Markram (31) and 46 for the second wicket with Keegan Pietersen (28) on Thursday with Rossi van der Dussen for 82 runs and Temba Bavuma (23 not out). With a 68-run partnership ensured an easy victory for South Africa. When asked about his innings, he said, "It is always a privilege to represent our country. I think the innings I have played will motivate me more to perform better. The big thing is this innings contributed to the win.
