The photo of Akash and Aishwarya going for the wedding sitting in a big cooking pot is becoming increasingly viral on social media. The newly wed couple reported that they had rarely invited relatives because of the COVID-19 pandemic. He told that his marriage was fixed on Monday and he did not want to postpone it because of the auspicious time. He told that he had come to the temple a few days back and then there was absolutely no water. Due to heavy rains in the last two days, the place got waterlogged. Both are healthcare workers and work in a hospital in Chengannur.

earlier court marriage

Akash while talking to PTI said that they had an interracial relationship which was opposed by one of Aishwarya's uncles and hence, they married Court on October 5. Thereafter, they decided to get married as per Hindu rituals without delay, but were talking about booking 15 days in advance for the wedding at most of the temples near their home in Thakaji here. In the end, he found a temple in Thalaivadi, which agreed to host the marriage ceremony on Monday.

both are on covid duty

He said that on Sunday, someone from the temple had called him to ask if he was ready to postpone the wedding as the venue was flooded with water. But both of them are health workers who are on COVID duty, so they themselves did not know when they would get leave to get married. So they decided not to postpone it. After this the temple authorities said that they would make necessary arrangements to take them to the venue.

Apart from this, there was no other way

On Monday, when they reached Thalawadi, people were ready with cooking utensils, which were from the temple itself, to bring the bride and groom and some of the family members who accompanied them. Akash said that this was the only option available to him in such a short span of time. Both sat down in a deep vessel and some people grabbed him and reached the temple premises so that he would not turn. Akash said that she did not hesitate to sit in the pot as such measures are often taken there during the rains. He had seen such measures to rescue people trapped in homes during floods in the year 2018.
