AIIMS / Indefinite strike of nursing staff in protest against suspension of Harish Kumar Kajla, demand for immediate cancellation of suspension

Taking strict action on Monday, the administration suspended AIIMS Nursing Union President and Nursing Officer Harish Kumar Kajla in connection with the closure of the main operation theater of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and due to which the surgery of 80 patients was postponed. On Tuesday, the nursing staff has announced to go on an indefinite strike in protest against the suspension of Harish. The nursing union has demanded immediate cancellation of Harish's suspension.


In fact, on Friday, the nursing staff working in the main operation theater of AIIMS announced not to do duty at nine in the morning. Within a short time, this information also reached the concerned officials, but even after persuading them, the employees did not return. Meanwhile, the leaders of the Nursing Union reached there and closed the operation theater. In a video viral on social media, the union president was also seen abusing a resident doctor, due to which the Resident Doctors Association (RDA) of AIIMS warned the management that if action is not taken against the union president, they will go on strike. . Regarding this incident, AIIMS had given notice to four employees and also ordered them to appear before the management.
