New Zealand lost three early wickets in the powerplay and they were gasping for breath when Ross Taylor and Tim Seifert got together to put on a stunning partnership for the fourth wicket. They plundered 34 runs off a Shivam Dube over and looked to be in command. Seifert departed after a sparkling 50 and then the collapse started. From 116/3 they were reduced to 156 for 9 and eventually fell 7 runs short. The Indian bowlers were brilliant in the second phase of the innings and bagged a historic 5-0 series whitewash. Jasprit Bumrah led this charge and ended with the man of the match award.
