Bengaluru Police Commissioner Kamal Pant said on Thursday that notices were issued to 125 mosques, 83 temples, 22 churches, 59 pubs, bars and restaurants and 12 industries. It was said that the loudspeaker should be maintained at the permissible decibel level.

Minister in the state government KS Eshwarappa said that there is no competition or competition for Azaan of Muslims and Hanuman Chalisa of Hindus through loudspeakers. At the same time, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut said that the Home Ministry already has a guideline regarding this. State Home Minister has also issued notices on loudspeakers.

Equipment is being used to keep the voice low: Maulana

Bangalore. Maulana Maqsood Imran, Imam of Jamia Masjid City Market said, many mosques have received notices. We have started installing equipment so that the noise does not exceed the permissible level and no one is disturbed.

55 decibel limit in residential areas

As per the Supreme Court order, 75 decibels are allowed in industrial areas during the day, 70 decibels at night, 65 decibels during the day and 55 at night in commercial areas. Only 55 decibels are allowed in residential areas during the day and 45 decibels at night.
