Delhi Election: In the atmosphere of Delhi Assembly elections, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday announced a revolutionary scheme 'Sanjeevani Yojana' for the elderly. The aim of this scheme is to provide respectable and quality health services to the senior citizens of Delhi.

Sanjeevani Yojana: Free treatment for the elderly

Arvind Kejriwal announced that after the formation of the Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi, free treatment of all citizens above 60 years of age will be ensured. There will be no financial limit or category restriction for treatment under this scheme. This scheme will provide health services to the elderly of every class without any discrimination.

Kejriwal said, "As age increases, many health problems surround us. Many times even children are not able to take proper care of their parents. In such a situation, it becomes our responsibility to take care of the elderly. Sanjivani Yojana will prove to be life saving for them."

Schemes made with inspiration from Shravan Kumar

Arvind Kejriwal also mentioned other schemes started for the elderly. He said that under the 'Mukhyamantri Teerth Yatra Yojana', so far about 1 lakh elderly people have been taken to various pilgrimage sites of the country. The entire cost of this scheme is borne by the Delhi government. This initiative is proof that the Aam Aadmi Party gives top priority to the respect of the elderly and their needs.

Why the need for free treatment?

The health problems of the elderly increase with age. Many families lack resources for the care and treatment of the elderly. Due to financial problems, getting treatment becomes a challenge for them. Sanjeevani Yojana will solve these problems.

How will you get the benefit of the scheme?

Kejriwal said that under this scheme, all citizens above 60 years of age will get benefits. The registration process for the implementation of the scheme will start soon. He appealed to the public, "Just keep your blessings. As soon as the government is formed, this scheme will be implemented and will be ready to serve the elderly."

Mention of Mahila Samman Yojana

Before Sanjeevani Yojana, Kejriwal had also announced 'Mahila Samman Yojana' for women. Under this scheme, women above the age of 18 years will be given Rs 1000 every month. After winning the election, this amount will be increased to Rs 2100.

New hope for Delhi

Sanjeevani Yojana is not only a big step in the field of health, but it also shows the government's sensitivity towards the elderly and its commitment to their rights. With this initiative, Kejriwal has once again proved that the Aam Aadmi Party is working to bring about change at the grassroots level.

This scheme is a new ray of hope for the elderly of Delhi. If implemented, it will set an example in the health sector in the country and will also inspire other states.
