Maharashtra Politics: A major political upheaval took place in Maharashtra on Sunday. Sharad Pawar's nephew and Leader of the Opposition Ajit Pawar has joined the Maharashtra government. He reached the Raj Bhavan with some of his supporting MLAs and took oath as a minister. He has been made the deputy CM of the state. During this, CM Eknath Shinde and Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis are present. According to reports, 9 NCP MLAs will take oath as ministers. Apart from Pawar, these include Chhagan Bhujbal, Dhananjay Munde, Anil Patil, Dilip Valse Patil, Dharmarao Atram, Sunil Valsad, Aditi Tatkare and Hasan Mushrif.

Some MLAs who accompanied Ajit Pawar to Raj Bhavan, were upset over Sharad Pawar's unilateral decision to share dais at the opposition unity meeting in Patna and cooperate with Rahul Gandhi.

Ajit took a meeting of MLAs in the morning, Supriya was present but Sharad Pawar did not know

Ajit Pawar on Sunday held a meeting with some party leaders and MLAs at his official residence in Mumbai. Party's working president Supriya Sule was present in it. NCP Chief Sharad Pawar was in Pune when Ajit Pawar reached Raj Bhavan. He was not aware of the meeting of the MLAs. Later, when he came to know about this, he said – Ajit Pawar is the leader of the opposition, so he has the right to call a meeting of the MLAs.

2 reasons for Ajit Pawar's displeasure...

First reason: Sharad Pawar's resignation and then reversal

According to reports, Ajit Pawar is fuming with Sharad Pawar. For the first time on May 2, when Sharad Pawar had quit as NCP president, there was a possibility that Ajit Pawar might be handed over the reins of the party. When party leaders and supporters protested against Sharad Pawar's decision, Ajit had openly said that nothing would come of this protest.

Pawar saheb will not change his decision. However, Pawar took back his resignation within 4 days. When he came to inform the media about this, Ajit Pawar was not present there. Then there was talk that Ajit was angry with Sharad Pawar's decision.

Second reason: two working presidents to be made in the organization

The second incident is related to the recent reshuffle in the party organization. Sharad Pawar gave the charge of various states including the working president of the party to daughter Supriya Sule and Praful Patel on 10 June i.e. the 25th foundation day of the party. After this came the news of Ajit Pawar's displeasure. However, he denied this. Sharad Pawar also said that Ajit is already carrying a big responsibility as the leader of the opposition. They will see the kingdom.
