Fire News: A massive fire broke out in a children's hospital in Vivek Vihar area of East Delhi on Saturday night. Six newborns died in the accident. Delhi Fire Service said that they received information about the fire at 11:32 pm, after which nine fire tenders were immediately sent to the spot. Meanwhile, according to DFS chief Atul Garg, the rescue operation has been completed. However, the cause of the fire is not yet known.

A Delhi Fire Service official said that 12 newborns were rescued and immediately admitted to a nearby hospital. Of these, 6 died, 1 is on ventilator and five children are admitted in the hospital.

What is the whole matter?

The fire department had received information at 11:32 pm that a fire had broken out in the baby care center of Vivek Vihar, after which eight fire brigade vehicles were sent to the spot. During this period, 12 children were rescued, out of which 6 died. 1 child is on ventilator and 5 children are admitted in the hospital.

The children have been admitted to East Delhi Advanced Care Hospital. The fire was so terrible that it engulfed the three-storey building in no time. Local people also came forward to help the police and fire brigade to save the children.

According to DFS chief Atul Garg, the cause of the fire is not yet known. Garg said, 'The fire was reported from the baby care centre, near ITI, Block B of Vivek Vihar area. A total of nine fire tenders were sent.

Fire officer Rajendra Atwal said, 'At 11:32 pm, the fire service control room received information that a fire had broken out in a hospital and a total of 16 fire tenders reached the spot and the fire was completely extinguished. Two buildings have been affected by the fire. It contains a hospital building and on the right side, 2 floors of a residential building are also on fire. 11-12 people were rescued and taken to hospital.

Baby care center is in Vivek Vihar

Atul Garg told that this is a baby care center in Block B of Vivek Vihar. The newborn babies were rescued and taken to East Delhi Advanced NICU Hospital for treatment by ambulance. At the same time, after the accident, the family members of the children are in bad condition and crying. At present the hospital management has maintained silence on this accident.

According to an official, the fire broke out in the hospital at 11.32. Fire personnel said that the building in which the hospital was running and the nearby residential buildings were also caught in the fire. The fire brigade team has extinguished the fire. A police officer is collecting information about the accident from the hospital staff. They are also trying to know whether there was a fire fighting system in the hospital or not.

The incident occurred a day after at least 28 people were killed in a massive fire and building collapse at a crowded sports arena in Gujarat's Rajkot city. On receiving information about the accident, former BJP councilor and president of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Seva Dal Jitendra Singh also arrived with the workers. He said that this accident is tragic. He kept taking stock of the rescue work throughout the night.
