The Chief Minister said that a moment of silence was observed in the mosques of Kashmir in protest against terrorism, which is a historic initiative in this direction. He called it a new beginning of the end of terrorism. Many families lost their loved ones in this attack in the Baisaran Valley of Pahalgam. He said, "Children have seen their fathers soaked in blood. It is difficult to express this pain in words."

No words to apologize: Omar Abdullah

Getting emotional, Omar Abdullah said, "This incident has shaken the entire country. I have seen attacks before, but such a big tragedy has been witnessed in Baisaran Valley after 21 years. I don't know how to apologize to the victim families. As a host, it was my responsibility to send the tourists back home safely, but I failed. Today I have no words to apologize."

The real voice of Kashmir against terror

The CM further said that no one supports this attack. "This attack has pierced our hearts. But we are looking for a ray of hope even in this darkness," he said. Omar Abdullah also stressed that never in the last 26 years were Kashmiris seen protesting against terrorism in such an organized manner.

Horrific attack: 26 dead, many injured

It is worth noting that 26 innocent people lost their lives and more than 17 people were seriously injured in this terrorist attack in Baisaran Valley near Pahalgam in Anantnag district on 22 April. Most of the people killed and injured in this attack were tourists who had come to seek peace in the valleys of Kashmir. According to experts, this attack was the most horrific terrorist incident in the valley after the Pulwama attack of 2019.
