India vs China / Now China is plotting against India from this island group! Satellite pictures surprised

India vs China: Despite violent clashes with the Indian Army in Galvan and Tawang located on the Line of Actual Control, China is not sitting silent. To conspire against India, China has now made Myanmar's Coco Islands a new base. This ploy of China has been exposed in the recently released satellite images. These satellite images have once again raised suspicions of setting up a Chinese 'spy base' on the Cocoa Islands of Myanmar.

The Myanmar-controlled Coco Islands have recently seen military infrastructure build-up, fueling suspicions of the Chinese government using it strategically against India. Satellite images taken by Maxar Technologies in January this year reveal new developments in the Great Cocoa Island area, with two new hangars in the center and some new buildings to the north. Along with this, to increase the naval activities of China, a big jetty has also been constructed here.

Extended length of runway for use against India

China's conspiracy can also be gauged from the fact that the length of the airbase on the Coco Islands has been increased from 1300 meters to 2300 metres. London-based think tank Chatham House has also exposed this suspicious conspiracy against India. It is speculated by geopolitical experts that the Myanmar junta, colloquially known as the Tatmadaw, is preparing the islands for its covert maritime surveillance operations, often in collusion with China .

China became active after the coup in Myanmar

The junta's dependence on the Chinese Communist Party has increased after the military coup in Myanmar. This is also a cause of concern for India. However, the military's relations with Beijing have been fluctuating since Myanmar took power. Despite this, China is making Myanmar a fan in the name of help. A Reuters report in its findings found a sharp increase in the installation of surveillance cameras manufactured by Chinese entities within Myanmar's densely populated cities to track public movements. That's why the current status quo between the two countries is giving more weight to the speculations that are being made.

PLA expanding scope

Having a covert presence in the Coco Islands would give the PLA (People's Liberation Army) a strategic edge, as the islands could provide substantial access to vital Indian Ocean sea lanes and bypass the Malacca Straits. China has also made large-scale investments in the country through the China-Myanmar Economic Corridor with the aim of achieving mutual benefits on behalf of Myanmar.

200 buildings built on Coco Island

Satellite images show that about 200 buildings have been constructed on the Cocoa Islands for military personnel and islanders. The topic of China's suspicious presence on this strategic island is not a new one. Reports suggest that even in the early 1990s, there were attempts by China to use the islands for military and naval purposes, which India lodged a protest with Myanmar in 2009. A 2014 paper by the Manohar Parrikar Institute of Defense Studies and Analyses, states that "Chinese-made SIGINT listening stations have been reported at least in Manaung, Hinggi, Zadetki and Coco Islands in Myanmar in the Andaman Sea. Chinese technicians and The trainers also worked on radar installations to augment naval bases and facilities near Yangon, Moulmein and Mergui.

Coco is close to Andaman and Nicobar Islands

India's concern increases as the Cocoa Islands are very close to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Its distance is only 50 to 55 kilometers and reconnaissance activities including Chinese radar here also increase the danger of possible monitoring by China of other important military places including the Indian Tri-Service Command located here. Now with the increasing assertiveness of China in this region, India is also considering strengthening its maritime and surveillance capabilities.
