Yuvraj's director Shubhash Ghai recently revealed in an interview that the song Jai Ho composed by AR Rahman was first used in Yuvraj. However, the song did not fit the situation of the film, hence it was not kept in the film.

Shubhash Ghai told about the song, “The song Jai Ho was made for Yuvraj. We recorded it, but later I felt that it would not fit the situation. Rahman gave the song to that film (Slumdog Millionaire). He himself had composed this song.”

Actually, this song was going to be filmed on Zayed Khan's character in the film. Shubhash Ghai had told that he happily gave this song to the composer because it was needed in Danny Boyle's film. He said, “I thought the song was too soft for the aggressive character (Zayed Khan). I'm glad he used it."
