Pahalgam Terrorist Attack: The horrific terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, shook the entire country. 26 innocent people lost their lives in this attack on 22 April. The terrorists not only targeted people ruthlessly, but in many cases confirmed the murder by asking their religion and name. After the incident, India made it clear in a blunt manner that the terrorists who came from across the border are behind this brutal attack and it is directly related to Pakistan. The historic and tough steps taken by India in response to this attack have created panic and uproar in Pakistan. The Government of India suspended the Indus Water Treaty with immediate effect and cancelled the visas of all Pakistani citizens present in India and issued an order to leave the country. Not only this, the Indian Army has been put on high alert on the borders and a large-scale action has been started against the terrorist networks. This aggressive stance of India has shocked the leaders of Pakistan. From Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif to many senior leaders, everyone has started threatening India. Some have even started threatening war.Pakistan's big-mouthed leaders and their threatsPakistan's Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, furious over India's decision to suspend the Indus Water Treaty, said, "If India wants war, Pakistan is also ready. We are supporters of peace, but if war is imposed, we will give a befitting reply. Water is our lifeline and 24 crore people are ready to fight for it."Pakistan's Home Minister Mohsin Naqvi was also not behind. In a press conference, he claimed, "We are 100 percent ready for war. Pakistan is a warlike nation. If needed, every citizen will enter the battlefield."Former Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar also spewed fire on social media. Accusing India of resolving the Kashmir issue unilaterally and suspending the Indus Water Treaty, he warned that this step could push the two nuclear-armed countries of South Asia towards a confrontation.Pakistan People's Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari even issued an open threat to India. He said, "Either Pakistan's water or India's blood will flow in the Indus river. India will have to face the consequences of clashing with Pakistan."Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Fawad Hussain also said in his statement that all the political parties of Pakistan will unite and protect the country against any threat or attack from India.India's 'zero tolerance' policy and strong messageThis time India has made it clear that there will be no leniency against terrorism. Under the 'zero tolerance' policy of the central government, now every terrorist activity will be answered in the same language. Suspending the Indus Water Treaty is a historic step by India, which shows that now India will take concrete action instead of warning Pakistan. The cries of Pakistani leaders are proof that India's decisions have hit the right target this time. India is now speaking not in words but in actions, and its echo is being heard from the political corridors of Pakistan to the military strategy.
