Mahakumbh 2025 / Railways announced special Vande Bharat train for Maha Kumbh, know timings and stoppages

In view of the increasing crowd of devotees in the last phase of Prayagraj Maha Kumbh, the Railways has announced to run New Delhi-Prayagraj-Varanasi Vande Bharat Special train. This train will run on 15, 16 and 17 February, departing from New Delhi at 5:30 am and reaching Varanasi at 2:20 pm.

Mahakumbh 2025: Every day lakhs of devotees are reaching for bathing in the Mahakumbh organized in Prayagraj. During this, heavy crowd is being seen in the trains coming from different parts of the country to Prayagraj. Keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers, Indian Railways has operated Mahakumbh special trains. In this sequence, now the Railways has announced to run Vande Bharat train for the devotees going to Prayagraj Mahakumbh. Mahakumbh Special Vande Bharat train will be run from New Delhi to Varanasi via Prayagraj.

The train will run three days on weekends

Mahakumbh is in its final phase, which will run till February 26. In view of the possibility of increase in the number of devotees in the last days, the Railways has decided to operate the Mahakumbh Special Vande Bharat train between New Delhi and Varanasi (via Prayagraj) on February 15, 16 and 17. This train will go from New Delhi to Varanasi and return from Varanasi to New Delhi.

Details of travel from New Delhi to Varanasi

An Indian Railways official informed that this special Vande Bharat train is being run for those devotees who will reach Prayagraj on weekends to take bath in Maha Kumbh. This train will run on 15, 16 and 17 February and its train number will be 02252.

Travel timetable:

New Delhi to Varanasi: This train will depart from New Delhi Railway Station at 5:30 am and will reach Varanasi at 2:20 pm via Prayagraj.

Varanasi to New Delhi: On the return journey, this train will leave Varanasi at 3:15 pm and will reach New Delhi at 11:50 pm via Prayagraj.
