IPL 2022 / Ravindra Jadeja hands over CSK captaincy back to MS Dhoni

Former Indian skipper MS Dhoni will take over the Chennai Super Kings' leadership responsibilities from star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja after the 33-year-old decided to give up the role to focus more on his game. Under Jaddu’s captaincy, CSK have won just two out of the eight matches played so far.

After Chennai Super Kings' embarrassing performance so far in IPL 2022, Ravindra Jadeja has once again handed over the captain to MS Dhoni. Just before the start of the season, Chennai replaced Dhoni with Jadeja as the captain of the team. But under the captaincy of Jadeja, the Chennai team could not make a splash.



Chennai Super Kings have been able to win only 2 out of 8 matches played in IPL 2022. Whereas in 6 matches he has to face defeat. The team is at the ninth position in the points table. Defending champions Chennai will have to win six out of the remaining six matches to make it to the playoffs. In such a situation, the command of the team has come in the hands of MS Dhoni, who made Chennai the champion four times.
