Team India: Sooner or later big changes are going to happen in Team India. This change will not happen suddenly but with a well thought out strategy. And, in its JD will be Team India's 'Fab Four' meaning Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara. Indian selectors do not want to repeat the mistake of 6-7 years ago, so this time every step of change will be taken in haste. Here the mistake of 6-7 years ago means the big mistake made in the phase of 2012-2014. According to the report of the Indian Express, it took time to rebuild the Indian batting after the retirement of the then Fab Four, as the BCCI did not have a plan beforehand. But, this time everything will be under planning.

Plan for change in Team India is ready!

As Indian Express believes, there is not going to be any major change in the Indian team on the West Indies tour. Means Fab Four can be seen playing here. But, after this series, the process of change will gradually start in Team India. The aim of BCCI is to make Team India strong till the next Border Gavaskar series to be held in Australia in such a way that it has a good mix of young and experienced players.

This will be the plan to carry out changes in the Indian team

Now the question is how will this happen? So according to the report, after the West Indies tour, the change will happen as a member of the Fab Four at once. Who will be the first member of the Fab Four, it will be decided looking at his current form.

After the bad condition of the team in the WTC Final, there were earlier reports regarding the West Indies tour that Mumbai's Yashasvi Jaiswal and Maharashtra's Rituraj Gaikwad might get a chance. But now it seems that they will have to wait for their turn. This is because BCCI has no intention of tampering with the Test team.

Changes may start in ODIs before Tests

There is a fitness issue with Rohit Sharma but BCCI has no option right now. Therefore, there is every possibility of his captaincy till the ODI World Cup. India currently has more options for ODIs than Tests. In such a situation, it is believed that the phase of change in the team will start in ODIs before the Test.

Trust on Pujara now, Yashasvi will get a chance next!

Cheteshwar Pujara was dropped from the team after the 2021-22 tour of South Africa. But, he returned only after 6 months. But after his return, he could score only 1 century in the 8 Tests he played. Even after this poor performance, the BCCI still has faith in him because he has done a lot for Team India in his good days. His role in the historic Test series win in Australia cannot be denied.

However, Yashasvi Jaiswal has made things difficult for Pujara by performing consistently in domestic cricket. Team India is looking at Jaiswal for the same position of number 3 in Tests, on which Pujara is currently playing. There is Shubman Gill in the opening, Rituraj Gaikwad can be seen replacing Rohit in the near future.
