Virat Kohli has left the captaincy of Team India in all three formats of cricket. In such a situation, there are speculations that Rohit Sharma, who has already become the captain of Team India in white ball cricket, can now get command in Test matches as well. This has also been indicated by the fact that reports of Rohit Sharma being fit have started pouring in as soon as Kohli quits the Test captaincy.

Let us inform that before the series against South Africa, there were reports of rift between Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. After this, Rohit was out of Team India for the matches against South Africa due to a sudden injury. It was earlier told that he suffered a hand injury during practice, but later it was said that his muscles had strained.

It was even claimed in many media reports that Rohit does not want to play under Virat's captaincy and that is why he has withdrawn his name in the name of injury, but now there are reports that the hitman is recovering and next month. He can return to the team from the six-match limited overs series against West Indies.

Rohit will be fully fit till West Indies series

A BCCI source told PTI, "Rohit's rehab at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru is going well. He is expected to make a full recovery till the West Indies series. There's only three weeks left in it. The first match of the series against West Indies will be played in Ahmedabad on February 6. By then he may be fully fit.

Hamstrings a big problem for Rohit

Hamstring strain has become a serious problem for hitmen. Apart from the South Africa series, he was forced to leave the first two Test matches of the tour of Australia in 2020-21 as well as the ODI and T20 series midway due to this problem. He then returned to the team for the remaining two Test matches after spending a two-week quarantine period in Sydney. When Rohit made a comeback, there was no Virat Kohli in the team.

Team needs Rohit's experience

After leaving the captaincy of Kohli, Rohit's fit has become more important for Team India. Rohit also has the support of head coach Rahul Dravid. Rohit's bat has also been doing wonders for some time in ODIs and T20s.

In such a situation, the team needs Rohit's experience a lot right now. Even with the 2023 World Cup, Hitman will have to stay fit. We will be able to become world champions only when our experienced players come together without any injury and forgetting mutual differences.
