Women and men will be paid the same amount to represent New Zealand and play in top-level home matches in an unprecedented new deal. New Zealand's professional female and male cricketers will get equal pay for the same game. A five-year deal has been struck for this.

New Zealand's professional female and male cricketers will get equal pay for the same game. A five-year deal has been struck for this, in which the White Ferns and domestic women players will get the same match fees as men in all formats and competitions including ODI, T20I, Ford Trophy and Super Smash level.

The agreement also increases the number of contracts awarded to female cricketers in New Zealand and increases the number of competitive matches available to budding players. White Ferns captain Sophie Devine said the agreement would be a game-changer for women's cricket. "It's great for international and domestic women's players to be recognized in the same agreement with men," Devine said.

Now female and male players will get this match fee

$10,250 for a test match (approximately Rs 8 lakh)

$ 4,000 for ODI match (about Rs 3 lakh 15 thousand)

$2,500 for a T20I match (approximately Rs 2 lakh)

$1,750 for the Plunket Shield

$800 to match the Ford Trophy/Halliburton Johnstone Shield

$575 for Super Smash matches
