Pahalgam Terror Attack: The horrific terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on 22 April shook the whole country. 26 innocent people lost their lives in this barbaric incident targeting tourists, most of whom were Hindus. The terrorists asked for the identity of the people and fired bullets at them. After this attack, a wave of anger ran across the country and now the security forces have opened a decisive front against terrorism.

Encounter continues at an unknown place

According to information received from sources, the security forces have got clues about the terrorists who carried out the Pahalgam attack and they have been surrounded at an unknown place. At present, that place is not being disclosed for security reasons, but the encounter is going on and it is expected that these terrorists will be eliminated soon.

Needle of suspicion on Hashim Musa

Terrorist Hashim Musa is said to be behind this attack. Musa is a citizen of Pakistan and has been a former para-commando of the Special Service Group (SSG) there. He was tasked by Lashkar-e-Taiba to target non-local citizens and tourists in Jammu and Kashmir. Musa was specifically sent with the aim of intimidating, killing Indian and foreign tourists and tarnishing the image of Kashmir.

Pressure is mounting on Pakistan

After the attack, the Indian government has started putting pressure on Pakistan from all sides. Relations have been weakened at the diplomatic level, the Indus Water Treaty has been suspended and many Pakistani media channels have been banned in India. Through digital and diplomatic strikes, India has given a clear message that now every terrorist act will be answered with strict measures.

Army also takes charge on the border

Along with the political front, the Indian army is also standing alert on the border. Ceasefire is being continuously violated by Pakistan. Firing is being done on the LoC for the last five nights, in which Akhnoor sector of Jammu district has been particularly targeted.

The Indian Army has given a befitting reply to every provocation. According to the defense spokesperson, the Pakistani army opened fire in Kupwara, Baramulla and Akhnoor on the night of 28 and 29 April, to which the Indian soldiers gave a measured and effective response.
