KKR vs SRH: The world's biggest cricket league IPL 2024 has now reached the playoffs. The four teams that performed best in the league round, Kolkata Knight Riders, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore have made it to the playoffs. The first qualifier will be between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders. This match will be held at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Both the teams are strong and are contenders for victory, but do you know that there is a rule in the playoffs of IPL 2024 due to which Kolkata Knight Riders have a big advantage over Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Amazing rule of IPL playoff

According to the rules of IPL, if the match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders is tied then a super over will be played. If the Super Over is tied and does not end within the stipulated time, then the team topping the points table will reach the finals. Meaning, if this happens in the match between KKR and SRH, then Shahrukh's team will reach the final.

There are reserve days in IPL playoffs

Rain has disrupted some important matches of IPL. Gujarat's 2nd and Rajasthan's last match were canceled due to rain. If this happens during the playoff matches also, then the fans need not be disappointed. Let us tell you that reserve day has been kept for all the matches of IPL playoff. However, there is also an additional time of 120 minutes before the reserve day. Efforts will be made to finish the game on the same day. The match will go to reserve day only after all efforts fail.

Now if the reserve day is also washed out due to rain, then the team topping the points table will be declared the winner. Meaning, if there is a match between RCB and the losing team in the second qualifier and the match day and reserve day are washed out due to rain, then Du Plessis' team will be out of the tournament. Well, the good thing is that there is no danger of rain on the playoff matches. Be it Ahmedabad or Chennai, the entire match is expected to start and end on time.
