Cricket | The second season of Legends League Cricket is to be played in September-October this year. Many former cricketers of India are going to be a part of this league. Among them, spinner Pragyan Ojha, all-rounder Ritinder Sodhi and pacer Ashok Dinda have confirmed to be part of the player draft process for the league. Apart from this, Harbhajan Singh, Virender Sehwag, Irfan and Yusuf Pathan will be star attractions in the league to be played in Muscat, Oman in September-October. Meanwhile, there are reports that former captain and current BCCI President Sourav Ganguly is also going to play in this league.However, Ganguly has denied these reports. BCCI President Ganguly has denied reports of playing in Legends League cricket. Ganguly confirmed to news agency PTI that he is not a part of any such league. He said, 'I am not a part of any Legends League cricket. Such reports are not true.Ganguly last played for Sachin Blasters in the Cricket All Stars Series played in the USA in 2015. He last appeared in Indian cricket in IPL 2012 for Pune Warriors. He captained the franchise in the second season of the league and was also its mentor. Before IPL 2012, he captained Bengal in the final of the Vijay Hazare Trophy and led the team to the title. After retiring from professional cricket, Ganguly stepped into commentary.In 2015, he was elected the President of the Cricket Association of Bengal. And then later joined the Cricket Advisory Committee of BCCI. In 2019, Ganguly became an advisor to the IPL team Delhi Capitals. After this, he was elected the President of BCCI in October 2019 and currently remains in this position.
