Ganguly indicated in his tweet that he is about to resign as the President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Ganguly also wrote an emotional post on social media. In the post, he said that now he is going to do something new. After this tweet by the BCCI President, speculations started that Ganguly is now resigning from his post and is going to join a political party soon. There were reports in the media that he would join BJP? However, Ganguly has now put an end to all these speculations.According to media reports, Ganguly has said that he has not resigned from his post nor is there anything else. News agency ANI quoted Ganguly as saying that I am planning to start something which I think will probably help a lot of people. The BCCI President said, 'I have not resigned from the post of BCCI and there is nothing else. I am launching a new education app world wide. Apart from this, there is nothing else. Before him, BCCI secretary Jay Shah confirmed that Ganguly has not resigned from his post.Earlier, Ganguly shared an emotional post from his official Twitter account. In this post, he thanked the fans and fellow players for the journey so far. He wrote, 'Today I am planning to start something, which I think will probably help many people. I hope that you will remain with me in this new chapter of life.Ganguly had a meeting with Home Minister Amit Shah recently and after that there was speculation that he was going to join the BJP. In media reports, it has been said that BJP is preparing to send Ganguly to Rajya Sabha. Ganguly became the BCCI President in October 2019. His term is till September this year.
