Ganguly took to Instagram to announce that he will be playing a special match in Season 2 of Legends League Cricket. Recently LLC announced that the upcoming season would be hosted in India. Thus, Indian fans will be able to see Sourav Ganguly playing once again. However, it will be a charity match.

Former India captain and famous grandfather named Ganguly has also started preparations for this match and he will be seen sweating in the gym. Ganguly has also posted his own pictures of the gym and he has confirmed his legends league cricket playing in the caption of this post and explained why he is going to participate in it.

Ganguly wrote in the caption, "Enjoying training to get ready for a charity match to raise funds for the Azaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. 75 years of Indian independence and with the top legends of Legends League cricket for women's empowerment Have to hit some cricket balls soon in Legends League cricket."

Ganguly made his Test debut against England in the summer of 1996 and scored a century in his first Test match at Lord's. The left-handed batsman had scored a century in his second Test as well.
